I’m very impressed with the quality of all the items I have purchased from Maxant. The MUTT and the 20 frame extractor compliment each other. While one batch is in the extractor the next one is being uncapped and stored in the MUTT. I like the simplicity of the clutch in the 20 frame extractor. A leather washer is inexpensive when it’s time to replace, as compared to an electronic control when it fails. The Spinner Junior recovers the honey from the cappings. The bottling tank with the no drip valve will spoil you. It works much better than a 5 gallon pail with a gate valve. If you take care of your stainless steel Maxant equipment, it will maintain its value. The wax melting tank model 3900 WPT works great to render wax out of old comb especially with the slum press accessory. I add water to the top of the higher valve then heat and add enough old comb to get about 2 inches from the top. Heat until hot then use the slum press to push all the slum below the two valve ports. Open the lower valve and drain off enough liquid to see wax. Then close the bottom valve and open the top valve and drain into a different pail. You will end up with 3 wax blocks 1 in the pail from the lower valve, 1 from the upper valve and one in the wax melter. Typically I get over 10 pounds of wax. DO NOT THROW AWAY OLD COMB! I melt the wax again and filter thru a 1 micron filter to remove impurities.
